Hello guys
Whenever I try out a lucid dream technique which involves that you musn‘t
move your body, i am getting annoying twitches whick i can‘t control and I can not do anything about this. This is really anoying because i heard that some of the best techniques involve no moving (for example getting into sleep paralyse and then enter a lucid dream). So here are my questions:
Is this something which is common and why does this even happen
2. Is it possible that these twitches arent actually a problem because i dont control them and it doesnt matter if they happen?
3. Is there are way to avoid them? (Btw: It does NOT work if i try to focus or clear my mind or something)
sry if my english is bad im german
The idea that you should not move your body during lucid dreaming attempts is misinformation, and not something you need to worry about. Obviously minimize unnecessary movements, but it is absolutely not necessary nor beneficial to remain uncomfortably still. This will only hinder rather than help. We fall asleep every night naturally not by remaining deathly still, but by adjusting our bodies into comfortable positions. Anyone who shares the idea that absolute stillness is required is not a source that should be trusted.
