Something similar happens again to me this night: I thought I was dreaming and I performed RCs. Firstly, pinching my nose and I noticed I could breath. Then I confirmed I was dreaming when I saw my hand with a additional new finger :).
My problem is that I woke up about imediatly and I wonder again the same question: was it because it was the end of my REM period ? Was it because I might be excited of this pre lucid situation ? Was it because I should have try to stabilize the state ?
Another thing is that for each time, I was "linked" to my real body. I mean for the 1st time, I noticed my eyes were closed (which was of course the case ). For the second time, when I pinched my nose, I noticed that one of my narine were block and I was breathing from only one side (which was really the case ).
Something I did recently when my vision went dark, worried I was waking up, was I felt the sensation of spinning in place where I was standing. I felt this sensation for a few moments and while I was doing that I suddenly saw flashes of a scene at certain points when I was spinning. When I saw that I guided my body to turn towards where I was seeing the scene in my spin, then all of a sudden the scene appeared around me instantly. I then began to explore this area and continued with the dream for a few more minutes before actually waking up.
I'm not sure if this is just a certain method that happened to work for me, and maybe only this one time, but I feel like just having ideas of what you can possibly do and just believing it will work will have an effect to bring the scene back.
your first cople of LDs will might wake you like that but that is HUGE progress for anyne first trying to get into the subject, for the being ¨blind¨ part if that happens agein try opening your eyes in the dream or open then by prying them open with hands in the dream(that might not work but its worth a shot)
Hi Daniel, Hi everyone,
"Something" finally happened to me last night !! Not a LD unfortunatly, but actually I don't really know what it was:
I was dreaming that I wanted to have do something and realized suddently that I was not able to see, I just couldn't open my eyes. So I immediatly performed RC such as passing my finger throught my hand and it passed. I counted also my finger and I had more than 5. I remimber I had been desapointed at that moment that thoses tests were not clearer and impressive. Then, I said to myself I was dreaming and to stay calm. But I woke up gently.
So was it a pre lucid phase and what should have done to keep the state and be more lucid ? Or was it only a kind of bridge and I couldn't open my eyes because I was slowly becoming aware at the end of a REM period ?
What should I do if this happen again ?
Thanks in advance for your answers and comments !!
