I currently use the sleep tracker at night every night. What I usually intend to do is record the time and what the sleep tracker says for what stage I have woken from and compare if it was correct. How could I understand 100% where my rem period is for example if I were to awaken at 2:00am and the sleep tracker says nrem1 and I feel like I have awoken from nrem2. Would I just add the amount of time it would take to get to rem?

I'm experimenting using it. It already helps to be more motivated with nighttime data. I tried to spot a pattern, but has to get used to working with it and map the right data clearly. When I wake up I write down how I feel, and if I remember a dream,
I spotted I had a difference at vague thoughts and really dreams and having nothing. that could make the difference of NREM1 and 2 or 3. Mostly I'm groggy waking up in the night. Surpisingly less groggy earlier in the night than later.
I compare it to the standard. I saw a lot of awakenings round the one just right after five o'clock on the standard graph. That's in between two remstages, so I could zoom that time out for more details. Not sure if that's usefull to make a WBTB time of it.
I try over with more regular sleep and less messy data. How are you doing so far?
Not sure if you might have found your own way but yes you could rewind or fast-forward the video to figure out how much time it is off by for your particular sleep cycles see if you notice a pattern.
