I saw this post on Reddit that talked about A dream character that came up to this person and told them they were dreaming, This got me interested. Is there a way to train dreamcharacters? Have any of you done it? Can you train them to do more than just get you lucid? Is there a certain method or is this all just more twaddle in the never ending ocean of fake stories?
Stories, Experiences and Methods are all welcome in the comments!
It's more twaddle in an ocean of twaddle.
It's working on the false premise that dream characters have some kind of objective existence and self-awareness beyond the brief moment they appear for the dreamer. While it's a nice thought and certainly opens a philosophical can of worms, the most likely and sensible answer is that dream characters, as with everything else in the dream, are fleeing hallucinations. That said, you could build an expectation that people, in general, ask you to reality check, which should transition into the dream. That was the idea behind the "Ask me if I'm dreaming?" t-shirt.
