Had an interesting moment in a dream last night. I was walking up a stairwell, but was simultaneously going down. This picture is the best way I can describe it:
Maybe that image Daniel shared with the hidden circles in all those lines planted a dream seed in my head lol. Anyway, I was kind of impressed that my mind was able to create something like this, it was very trippy. Could be fun to experiment with things like this whilst lucid. If anyone else has experienced any mind-bending paradoxes or illusions during dreams, lucid or not, I'd love to hear. Or, just cool illusions in general to use for inspiration. I'll toss in some videos I came across as well to further explain what I'm talking about. The first is some kind of game engine that explains / simulates impossible and non-euclidean worlds (maybe this was a dream seed lol). The others are clips from Inception, similar to what I experienced (although slightly different, hard to describe). But it does showcase the paradox well.
Wow! That non-Euclidean worlds video was amazing! I did have a weird mini paradox the other day. I was half asleep and in my dreamlet there was a cricket ball coming towards my right side at speed, and in my dream I caught it with my right hand, but in real life I did a "hypnic jerk" as if catching the ball, but with my left hand! I think that might have something to do with dream large-scale coordination being done in the right hemisphere, so my left arm moved? (Right hemisphere controls left-side). I'm sure there's some interesting science behind it.
