Hey! Tonight I tried a WILD attempt.
To my surprise, I started to get the typical sleep paralysis symptoms, means vibrations, some hypnagogia, the feeling of pressure on the chest and falling backwards. I'm very proud of it because I never managed it before! This time I did not feel panic and fear as usual.
After some time I ended up in a regular non lucid dream. So my question is, how can I turn a sleep paralysis best into a LD? Also when I only wake up with SP without a WILD attempt? What best to do? Thanks everyone in advance!
This does sound like a cool experience! 😀
Just a reminder that sleep paralysis is definitely not necessary to induce a WILD. In fact an excessive awareness of the physical body can slow down the process.
Congratulations on the interesting experience, but try to ignore the bad advice elsewhere that sleep paralysis is somehow a prerequisite for Wake Initiated Lucid Dreams, as it definitely isn't required nor desirable.
WILDs are far more likely to occur without sleep atonia, and the belief that it is required is one of the most prevalent and misleading pieces of misinformation circulating regarding lucid dream induction.
Can’t offer any help but congrats on surviving the experience!
