Hello there. Just wanted to share my experience. A few months ago I experienced a very unique dream which I think may have been a lucid dream and I just needed to share the experience.
I know about lucid Dreaming superficially and have never really tried to do it. Recently however, at the end of a very intense week of late nights, early mornings and a house full of people, I found myself home alone on a Friday afternoon.
I decided to take a nap and that's when things got interesting. As I was sleeping I was aware of my body in the bed and could also see myself from a different vantage point. I had two vantage points, one from laying down and the other from the left hand side.
At first I thought I heard my people come home (I was sleeping on the third floor but could hear them having a conversation in the entrance hall downstairs). I quickly realised that this had been a dream and I was in fact still home alone. After coming to this realisation I felt my boyfriend enter the room and we had a very substantial conversation, only to realise that this too had been a dream and as soon as I realized this, he disappeared.
He then came back into the room and stood with his back against the wall and then he raised his hand and at the same time I started floating up above the mattress.
He was controlling my rising into the air, and I initially had some fear in me, but through self talk I told myself that I was safe and that I was dreaming.
As I was up in the air, almost touching the ceiling, I saw another version of my boyfriend standing on the other side of the room. There were two of him in there with me.
The fear had subsided and he told me that I control the experience and can get out of it at any time I want by simply putting my foot on the ground.
I stayed floating a little longer and when I felt I was ready I put my foot on the ground. As soon as I did that in my floating state, I found myself seated up and wide awake in my bed. That was the end of the dream and I was completely alone in the house.
That's the whole story.
Hi Mikka, no I have never lucid dreamt before. I have read about it and did some research, but never tried to do it myself - it was purely out of curiosity that I was researching.
