So a few nights ago, I had what I think to be my second lucid dream. I even said in the dream, “I’m dreaming right now.” It was a surreal experience, because I was thinking in the dream how my body was in bed. But, this was a dream inside of a dream. So it was like I had a dream, and then in that dream, I went to sleep and then started having that dream. Was it a lucid dream? Lol maybe I’m overthinking it. I’ve done dream layering a few other times.

This is a tricky question! I've had several dreams where I later decided that it was most likely not a “real” lucid dream, but just a dream in which I had a “fake” lucid dream. But I also remember dreams where I was not lucid, went to sleep within the dream and THEN got lucid. Either because something happened that would not be possible in waking life, or because my brain just clicked and made the connection.
For me, the deciding factor is the moment I realize that I am dreaming. In a real lucid dreaming, this moment is a mindblowing experience, usually followed by an almost hyperrealistic clarity. In a fake lucid dream, my emotions about this realization are much more dull.
But it's different for everybody!
Based on personal experience, I've had multiple cases where I've had lucid dreams that occurred when I "went back to sleep" in my dream. I think it's usually because of your determination to get lucid, which results in a technically non-lucid false awakening, then results in you falling back to sleep determined to get lucid, so you do. It's kind of roundabout way of getting through a non-lucid false awakening. I think it comes down to you mind trying to interpret your expectations in a funny way.
I love this discussion! I've had a "lucid dream inside a lucid dream" myself, and it confused me endlessly. After a lot of pondering, I, like @StumpedSlicken , decided it probably wasn't a lucid... But to be honest, I'm still not sure! I love the mystery of it. In any case, well done, because whether it was a lucid or not, you've made great progress!
I'm on the fence about this, but the fact that you thought about how your body was in bed is probably the strongest "evidence" that it was a lucid.
The only reason why I'm unsure is due to "the dream inside of a dream". I've had a similar dream where I was "lucid" in my dream self's dream, though I, myself, was not. If that's what happened (where the dream self's dream was lucid), I may lean towards a very persuasive non-lucid. I'm no expert but, ultimately, it's up to you if it was a lucid.
Sounds like it was a lucid dream. Remember that there aren’t really dream layers, just scene shifts. I have personally experienced some of those what I call “fake WILDs” where you attempt a WILD in your dream or “fall asleep” then quickly become lucid.
