Hi everyone,
I literally became a member last night on Daniel's latest live stream, partly due to having a couple of glasses of wine and not being able to resist any longer. I decided I could afford it if I just sacrificed other things like paying for games and stuff. I'm 37, married with two children and a cat. I decided a couple of months ago that I was interested in lucid dreaming because I wanted control of something for once in my life without it affecting people around me. I found videos and although they were interesting, I had no idea how misleading they could be until I came across Lucid dream portal. I have since bought Daniel's book 'Are you dreaming' and the book by Stephen LaBerge that Daniel recommended. What I like about Daniel is the fact he takes his time to try to respond to comments or at least give your comment a 'heart'. I was a new member last night (The HappyStitcher) and he didn't ignore me when I joined the live stream and he even seemed to remember some of my comments. I look forward to more of his videos and reading his book. I might even pay for tuition with him at some point depending on money.
Hope you are all well.
Martha xx
Welcome, Martha! Becoming a member is a good investment if you're serious about lucid dreaming. 😊 I think you will love the book!
Welcome! Really nice to have you on here, Martha!
Thank you so much guys, I was a little frustrated the first night because I thought I could lucid dream straight away thanks to one of those other channels that like to hype things up a little. It was only because of discovering Daniel's channel that I found out that actually lucid dreaming isn't as easy as they make out and that I wasn't a loser after all. As a child I would suffer from sleep paralysis some nights and I didn't realise then how much power I could have over my dreams. If only I had known all those years ago what I know now.
Oh, it's TheHappyStitcher! Welcome! Great to have you here on the forum too 😀
HI Martha,
welcome to the Forum. The AYD book was a real help for me and got me my first lucid when i was about half way through it so best of luck.
Good luck with your journalling and dream recall, mine fluctuates massively but I'm a few years in now and writing down anything i remember plus any useful information about my day is second nature now. If you've not had your first lucid dream yet, they are a little mind blowing, even the shortest ones. Stick with it and I'm sure you'll succeed.
Welcome!
I have a dream journal which I write in every day but have only had two very teeny tiny and possible fake lucid dreams. We will see what happens : )
Hi Martha, really great to have you here and I hugely appreciate the support. I definitely try my best to respond when I can (although sometimes it can get little busy!). I think you'll find the forum a lovely place full of helpful dreamers. It's slow paced, but that's exactly what is needed for lucid dreaming. Minimal screen time with maximum thought! Looking forward to seeing your dream adventures grow!
