Hey everyone. As I've been dream journaling over the last month, I've become fascinated with how my dreaming mind portrays information and I'm wondering what some of your experiences are with this. My dreams are highly, highly visual. Very rarely will I ever actually hear anything. But I have conversations all the time. It's almost like a telepathic transfer of information coming from the dream character. There are no words, just an understanding of ideas, questions, commands, etc. or a visual representation of those things. I find this interesting because I do have dream thoughts in words. My thoughts also take on a visual life that I never have when awake. I will often see my thoughts play out in my mind. There is a clear differentiation between what I "actually" see in my dream and my dream-thoughts made visual. I have only had one lucid dream so I'm curious to see the difference. What are your experiences and are there some practical applications for lucid dreaming?

This sounds very interesting. Myself, my dreams tend to be mostly visual but with conversations that I rarely remember the exact words of and sometimes music. I guess in real life do a reality check when you are having a conversation and focus on the sounds of voices. If there is not much speaking you are likely to be dreaming. Throughout your day you could stop to focus on what you are thinking about, and then shift your attention to your surroundings. If you can see your thoughts manifest in front you, you are dreaming.
